Excellent, professional, fast, friendly service from Ben and Hossein. My wife's aging iMac was in dire need of updating, including a new hard drive and OS upgrade. MacPlace had the computer for no more than three days and not only did all the necessary cleanup, but spent half an hour working through some communication issues, including how to change passwords. Outstanding work and very moderately priced. Convenient to our home in Lower Lonsdale and entirely trustworthy.

Bravo!! Mac Place at 2nd and Lonsdale!! The service is amazing. My 9 year old had a water damaged Mac Book Pro that was given to him, we thought was toast. I had them look at it and not only did they get it started, they tided up and reviewed all internal systems, they upgraded the software, changed out a broken connector and repaired a keyboard button at no cost. All in $65 + GST!!! They were so friendly and interested in my two boys and the experience was second to none. Also I had no idea, they have a huge selection of second hand Apple computers ranging from $300-$600. I header there next time I need to buy a computer. Thank you Ben and Hossain!!

There are not many people who have the skills, equipment, and patience to rework a modern laptop logic board. I came in with a fried MacBook Pro (after trying to fix my power adapter myself) and they spent an incredible amount of time troubleshooting and ultimately replacing a bunch of tiny individual components soldered on the logic board. Heroic repair and I am grateful.

This is such an amazing place. Hossain and Ben are so helpful and awesome. They fixed my computer perfectly and are so easy to deal with and easy to talk to.

You can tell they genuinely care for their customers. Don't go anywhere else on the north shore. I think even if I lived out of North Van or West Van, I would come here.

I showed up at 530pm with my ancient 2006 macbook pro needing some minor surgery which ended up being somewhat major surgery. They stayed late (an extra hour after closing) to fix it for me! Prices are very reasonable and they are friendly, courteous, and efficient. 🙂

They also will buy your precious mac from you when you have your midlife (laptop) crisis and ready to upgrade to a younger hotter model. lol.

I sold my daughter's used i Mac to the store. Ben was really helpful and honest. He even went the extra mile by delivering a memory stick with her files to me on the other side of the city the following day.

These guys have saved me twice. First time was water damage, they warned me that often they need to replace the battery and keyboard that there is corrosion that requires board replacement but in the end they found it was only the board. Could have charged me way more but they are honest guys. Second time ended up being a software issue, again the charge was reasonable and they were quick and friendly.

So impressed with these guys! I took my 1 year old MacBook Air into the Apple store and found out that the logic board had been fried. A repair through them meant ordering in a brand new logic board with an $800 price tag. These guys fixed my issue for $250! They were super friendly, had the job done within a couple days, and I even learned a few tricks when booting up and shutting down. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

They seem like they know what they are doing. They won't sell me something that I don't need and recommend buying a new Mac Mini at the Apple store after explaining what I needed it for. I watched the tech explain what he was going to do to with another customer's two computers and what it would cost. The price was fair for the work needed. I am certified MS administrator for 20 years so I known my stuff. He was very friendly, and helpful. The prices for used Macs seemed good and all come with warranty.

This is an amazing place for repair devise from Apple, I brougth my Imac, he is very old Imac, I was afraid that it was impossible to fix, but the technician told me about the process for fixing and he will check and he will call me if this Imac can be fixed or not, He called me 1 day after and he said it can be fixed for an low price and they fixed so quick as 3 days. I did pick up it. My Imac works fine. Ladies, they are so gentlemen that he carried the heavy Imac to my car. Very nice guys and so professional. Thank you so much Mac place for your service, I recommend very deeply it.

Excellent Service & Workmanship. My iMac video card died and I was able to trade up to a newer model they had in stock. Guys were up front and honest and I had a great experience! They even pulled my old hardrive out and gave it back to me !

Last December 2016 a friend gave me a 2007 iMac that he had sitting around. It did not work. I don't know anything about Macs. I phoned this store, brought it in, and they gave it a second life. They installed a newer version of an OS, new RAM, and it's been a pleasure ever since. It's become my multimedia pc. I even offered to give it back to my friend. He said it's mine. The staff here were excellent, and if I ever need something, I'll be coming back.

You can love your mac again - Ben and his team have given my 2011 Mac Book Pro the upgrade it needed.

My next Saturday, back to Ben, again, he was super honest, did great work, replaced the chip, didn't charge me labor and went a step further, let me know that my HD was on it's last legs and likely the reason the first chip had failed. My HD was heating up something fierce. They provided me with several options to fit a variety of budgets .

My 2011 paperweight is now happily buzzing along with a new SSD, it's faster and quieter than it has been in years. Can't thank Mac Place enough!

These guys rock. Brought in my beloved 2012 MacBook Pro 17" as it wasn't starting. They discovered water damage. Charged me way less than Apple, and somehow my computer is also running faster, my battery life is way longer, and the fan isn't cycling on all the time. I think they might be magic mac fixers. Wonderfully friendly and clear communication too. I will always go here now.
